Romantic Parking Ticket

Why not get your Valentine's heart pumping with a 'Romantic Parking Ticket'. Place the ticket under his windshield and site him for one of many romantic offenses. His initial fear over getting a ticket will turn to delight when he reads the ticket. See our example and download the template below.

Example:

For the offense of BEING SOOOO SEXY, you will receive a 1 hour full body massage today at 4:00pm. You are here by ordered to report to Judge Julie’s chambers at 3:45 and don’t be late or additional fines will be added.

Your valentine will be anticipating his arrival home later that evening and will be thinking of you all day long.

Message in a Bottle Bubble Bath

Start by drawing a warm bubble bath, making sure there are enough bubbles to cover the bottle. Find an empty plastic bottle. A plastic bottle works best because it is light enough to float. Write a message on a piece of paper, roll it up, tie it with a red ribbon and put it inside the bottle. Put the cap back on the bottle closing the lid tightly and put the bottle in the bath. Place candles all around the tub and turn off the lights.

You could also put a scoop of epsom salts in the bottom of the bottle and let your valentine know they are 'Magical Love Crystals'. To activate their powers, he must dump them into the bath. Make sure you give him a special treat later.

The message can be anything from a letter expressing your unconditional love or a naughty letter giving details of what you plan to do to him (and his body) after the bath.

100 Reasons Why

The most romantic gifts come from the heart. Everyone wants to be loved and appreciated. Give your partner or child a list of 100 REASONS WHY YOU LOVE THEM. Be creative and give reasons that make them feel special. Be sure to include reasons based on their personal appearance, values and things they do for you and the family and be as specific as possible. Here are a few suggestions:
  • I love you for working hard everyday and being a good provider for me and the family.
  • I love the way you look at me when you tell me you love me.
  • I love that you can fix anything around the house.
  • I love your sense of humor - you make me laugh everyday.

I Love You Because...

This is a variation of 100 reasons why. Decorate an empty bubble bath glass jar. We used one from Bath and Body Works. Make sure to clean and dry it thoroughly. Write down reasons why you love the person and put them on individual strips of paper. Your valentine can pull out one reason a day until they are all gone. To make it extra fun, you can add to it often so the jar never goes empty. This is a gift that keeps on giving.

Season Pass

Make a season pass for something your partner or child enjoys. Make sure to laminate it and include the dates the pass is valid. Here are a few suggestions:
  • Unlimited Rides to School - Does your child hate riding the bus? Why not give him a season pass for unlimited rides to school?

  • Monthly Night Out with the Boys/Girls - Give your partner a season pass to go out once a month with friends. Everyone needs quality time with friends to truly appreciate the time spent with you.

  • Monthly Entry into a Local Poker Tournament - Does your partner enjoy playing in poker tournaments? Give him permission to enter a tournament once a month with a monthly season pass. Many local volunteer fire departments have monthly tournaments,

  • Bath Night Once a Week - Pamper your partner with a season pass for weekly bath night with you. Be sure to have lots of candles, bubble bath and a bottle of wine(optional) on hand. A weekly bubble bath can be refreshing and help you reconnect with your partner.

Appreciation Journal

Appreciation can go a long way in any relationship. Purchase a quality leather journal and start writing down sentimental meaningful things in the journal for your spouse or children. Be sure to date each entry and continue to add to the journal as the years go by.

Include reasons why you love, respect and appreciate the person. Recall memories of things you've done in the past and write them in the journal. Write a least one poem even if you don't think you can write poetry. The effort will be appreciated if the poem comes from the heart. When you fill the journal, start a new one and continue the tradition for years to come.
