Disco Party

Do you like to disco? Platform shoes, leisure suits, pet rocks and lava lamps made the time very memorable. Ask guests to come dressed in 70's clothing to celebrate the era.

Decorations

Designate one room as the 'Lava Lounge'. Fill the room with lava lamps, bean bag chairs and black lights. Burn incense throughout the lounge. Make a 'Lava Lounge' sign with a Lite Brite. Place the sign at the entrance of the room.

Designate another room as the dance room. Hang a disco ball and play 70's music - Donna Summer, the Bee Gee's, Kool and the Gang, KC and the Sunshine Band, etc.

Hang 70's posters throughout the house. Classics are Farrah Foster, Saturday Night Fever and Black light posters. Replace bathroom light bulbs with black light bulbs and hang a black light poster on the wall.

Live entertainment can add to the event. Hire an impersonator - Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Austin Powers, etc.

Costumes

Ask guests to come dresses in 70's costumes. Austin Powers, disco queen, John Travolta and a hippie flower child make great costumes. Click a photo below for more information.
