Luck of the Irish Party Theme

St Patricks Day is a time for all to celebrate. Host a Luck of the Irish party and show your friends and family a good time. Nothing says St Patricks Day more than fun accessories and party supplies.

Give each guest a shamrock beaded necklace as they arrive to the party. The host or hostess could greet each guest at the door wearing a fun St Patrick’s themed hat.

Food

You can’t have a Luck of the Irish party without serving cold beer. Add green food coloring for a fun effect.

Serve green food or add green food coloring to other foods.
  • Green tortilla chips with guacamole
  • Green grapes
  • Broccoli
  • Celery
  • Spinach Salad
  • Green Beans
Games
  • Funny Hat Contest - Ask each guest to come to the party wearing a funny hat. Allow the party guests to vote for the best, funniest or most original hat. They cannot vote for themselves. Do it runway style and ask the guests to walk the catwalk to model their hats. Tell them to ‘work it’ and give points for attitude. The winner is the guest who gets the most points.

  • Beer Drinking Contest - Provide each guest with a straw and a bottle or glass of beer, tinted green, of course. It’s much better if you can see how much each contestant has drank. The object of the game is to drink the beer through a straw. The first person to drink all his/her beer is the winner.
