Mixology Party Theme
Mix, shake and stir up some cocktail fun with a refreshing mixology party. Guests will enjoy making custom signature drinks. You will need a fully stocked bar for this party.
Mixology Cocktails
This party is good for a Girl's Night In. Instead of going out and spending a fortune on drinks, stay at home and create custom signature drinks. Be sure to give each drink a name and record the recipe for future get togethers.
A mixology party theme is also a great idea for a bridal shower. Challenge the guests to come up with a signature specialty drink to be served at the wedding reception. Name the drink in honor of the bride and groom.
Steps
- Stock the bar with common alcoholic beverages and a few unexpected choices. Be sure to have rum, tequila, vodka, flavored vodkas, triple sec and any others you might like. Creme de mint and flavored schnapps are recommended. You will also want to have plenty of ginger ale, sprite, cola, orange juice, cranberry juice, lemonade, simple sugar, pineapple juice and any other fruit juice combinations you like.
- Buy and cut several fruit garnishes such as lemons, limes, oranges, cherries, etc.
- Provide shot glasses and measuring devices so the exact measurements can be recorded. Smaller portions are recommended to reduce waste.
- Give each guest a pencil and a pad of paper to record the drink ingredients.
- Encourage guests to experiment with alcohol and juice combinations.
- Once the ingredients have been decided on, choose a glass to serve it in. Do you prefer a hurricane glass, martini glass, margarita glass, wine glass or a simple drinking glass?
- Next, decide what fruit garnishes you want for the drink, if any.
- Give the drink a custom name. Consider incorporting the creator's name into the drink name.
- Finally, make a large batch and share it with the group.
