Office Party Games

Mission Success

This game is designed to be played after the successful completion of a large project. It's a great way to celebrate the hard work of those involved with the project. Start by creating a list of questions relating to the project. The questions should be tailored to the specific project and type of job. Award a prize to the worker who can answer the most questions correctly. Sample questions are listed below:
  • How many days, weeks, months did it take to complete the project (any type of job)
  • How many pounds of sugar were used to finish the wedding cake (bakery)
  • How many flowers were used in all the centerpieces (florist)
  • How many pounds of beef were used at the reception (caterer)

Personal Item Match Game

Gather one personal item from each employee's desk (with their permission of course). Place all the items on a conference table. Ask all employees to see how well they know their co-workers by matching the personal item to the person it belongs to.

Office Obstacle Course

This games is best for parties held at the office. Set up an obstacle course for the employees to complete. Establish tasks for each employee to complete as they run the course. See some obstacle course examples below:
  • Require employees to collate and staple four reports
  • Send them to a specific computer to type a message, then print it
  • Stop at the break room to get change from the change machine
  • Organize files alphabetically
The winner is the person who reaches the end of the obstacle course in the least amount of time.

Match-A-Mate

When guests arrive, give each guest a slip of paper with the name of a member from a famous pair. The guest will have to find their mate to complete the famous pair. This party game encourages guests to interact and speak to people they don't normally interact with on daily basis.

Examples:
  • Mistake - White Out
  • Stapler - Staples
  • Desk - Chair
  • Printer - Paper

Guess Who

Ask guests to bring a childhood photo of themselves to the office party. Assign a number to each guest’s childhood picture. Give each guest a pen and paper and have them try to match each guest with their childhood picture. The person to match the most pictures correctly is the winner.

Recognize Me

This game is great for an office award ceremony party. Compile stastics about the employee(s) you would like to recognize and see if the attendees can guess who is being recognized. Throw in a few unexpected items for laughs.
  • This employee had the highest sales in the first quarter
  • This employee traveled the most days out of the year
  • This manager was the first to turn in his/her 1st qtr reports
  • This employee brought in the most donuts last year

Bridal Shower Games
    More bridal shower games

Toilet Paper Wedding Gown

Divide the guests into teams of at least 3 players. The more teams the better. Provide each team with a roll of toilet paper, a roll of ribbon and a few pieces of tissue paper. Each team must assign one fashion model and the rest of the team are designers. The team must work together for a limited amount of time (10 - 15 minutes works well) to design and create the best wedding dress using only the materials provided.

Encourage the teams to be creative. Some teams might decide to consult with the bride-to-be before designing their dress. Don't forget the veil and bouquet. Once the time is up, have the models walk the runway and do a fashion show. The bride chooses the winner.

Almost Newleywed Game

Before the bridal shower, ask the groom-to-be 20 questions about the bride and their relationship:
  • Where was your first date?
  • What was the first song you danced to?
  • Where were you when you first kissed?
  • What date did he propose?
  • What was the most embarrassing experience during your dating?
  • How many children do you want?
During the bridal shower, ask the bride-to-be the same questions. Ask each guest to predict the number of questions the bride-to-be will get correct. The guest to predict the number of matches correctly is the winner.

Baby Shower Games

Cutest Baby

Give each guest a paper plate (a cheap white plate without a shiny finish works best) and a pencil. Each guest must put the paper plate on the top of her head while drawing a picture of a baby without looking. Once everyone is finished, the paper plates are collected. The mom-to-be chooses the cutest baby.

Guess the Baby Item

Before the guests arrive, purchase 10 common baby items such as a pacifier, rattle, outlet safety plug, etc. Next, get 10 brown lunch bags and number each bag from 1 to 10. Once the bags are numbered, place one baby item in each bag and seal the bag by folding the top down and stapling it or taping it. Give each guest a pencil and a piece of paper and ask them to write the number 1 - 10. The object of the game is to feel the bag and try to guess what's inside. The guest who gets the most correct wins a prize.

Guess Mom's Tummy Size

Have each guest cut a piece of yarn to the length they think will fit perfectly around the Mother-To-Be's pregnant tummy. After everyone cuts their string, compare the results to the Mommy-To-Be's actual tummy. Give a prize to the guest who is the closest!

Don't Say the Word 'Baby'

Give each guest a necklace with a clothes pin or other baby object. Have each guest place the necklace around her neck. The goal is to NOT say the word 'Baby' or another popular word said at a baby shower. If someone says the word "baby" during the shower, the first guest to notice gets a pin from the guest who said the word. At the end of the baby shower, the guest with the most pins wins a prize.

Ice Breaker Games
There's nothing more awkard or uncomfortable than walking into a party full of complete strangers. Ice breaker party games are a great way to encourage interaction among guests. Fun games help keep the conversation flowing to make sure everyone has a good time.

Is It You

Before the party, ask guests to tell you one thing about themselves they don't think anyone would know about them. The more unusual the fact the better. Compile a list of all the facts and give each guest a copy. Encourage guests to mingle to see if they can find out which fact belongs to which guest. The guest who gets the most correct answers wins.

Who am I

Write the name of a famous person, location or common item on a self-adhesive name tag. As guests arrive, stick the name tag to their back. Make sure they do not see what is written on the name tag. If there is a theme to the party, relate the items to the theme. The object is to guess what is on your name tag by asking yes or no questions only. See our sample items and questions below:

  • Pit Boss
  • James Bond
  • Las Vegas
  • Slot Machine
  • Dice
  • Poker Chips
