Everyone enjoys a good party. Fun party games and activities can turn an ordinary party into a great party. Great party games and activities should encourage guests to interact and provide hours of entertainment.
Celebrate the bride-to-be with a creative bridal shower. Our fun bridal shower games will keep your guests entertained.
Toilet Paper Wedding Gown
Divide the guests into teams of at least 3 players. The more teams the better. Provide each team with a roll of toilet paper, a roll of ribbon and a few pieces of tissue paper. Each team must assign one fashion model and the rest of the team are designers. The team must work together for a limited amount of time (10 - 15 minutes works well) to design and create the best wedding dress using only the materials provided.
Encourage the teams to be creative. Some teams might decide to consult with the bride-to-be before designing their dress. Don't forget the veil and bouquet. Once the time is up, have the models walk the runway and do a fashion show. The bride chooses the winner.
'Almost' Newleywed Game
Before the bridal shower, ask the groom-to-be 20 questions about the bride and their relationship:
Where was your first date?
What was the first song you danced to?
Where were you when you first kissed?
What date did he propose?
What was the most embarrassing experience during your dating?
How many children do you want?
During the bridal shower, ask the bride-to-be the same questions. Ask each guest to predict the number of questions the bride-to-be will get correct. The guest to predict the number of matches correctly is the winner.
Toilet Paper Plunger Game
Divide the guests into teams of two per team. Give one member of the team a roll of toilet paper and have her stick it between her legs with the hole facing forward. Give the other member of the team a plunger (new plungers only) and have her stick it between her legs so that the handle is facing forward.
Have each teammate stand about 20 feet from the other teammate facing each other. The teammate with the plunger must hop, walk or run to her teammate and stick the plunger handle in the hole of the toilet paper roll without using her hands. The first team to finish wins. You could also eliminate the last person from each round until there are only two teams left. The team to finish first in the final round wins. Give the plungers to the bride-to-be (you can never have too many plungers).
This is a great couples shower game.
Don't Say a Word
Provide each guest with a beaded necklace of the the bride’s wedding colors. Each guest will wear a necklace around her neck. Identify and post four taboo words that guests cannot say during the party. If a guest says one of the taboo words and another guest hears them saying one of the taboo words, the person saying the word will forfeit one necklace to the guest who caught them. Guests are encouraged to try and get the other guests to say one of the taboo words. For example: if one of the taboo words is “good”, a guest could go up to another guest and say “how are you doing”. Many people would reply with “good”. The guest that ends up with the most necklaces receives a prize.
Divide the guests into teams with an even number of players on each team. Start by giving each team a pair of panty hose and an orange. Have the first person put the orange in one leg of the pantyhose and tie the other leg around her waist. The orange should hang between her legs without touching the floor.
The first member of each team must knock down a full gatorade bottle by swinging the orange - no hands allowed. Once the bottle is knocked over, she must set up the bottle for the next teammate and pass the panythose and orange to the next teammate.
The first team to finish wins.
Fold Over Game
Attach a piece of paper to a clipboard. Ask the first guest to write a statement about the bride and groom (example: John and Maria met at Georgetown University when they were paired up as lab partners). Then, the next guest writes a new statement, such as Maria was a beautiful young woman and John was like her knight in shining armor.
Then, fold over the piece of paper so that only the previously written statement shows. Pass it to the next guest and ask her to write a sentence, referring only to the line above for guidance. When the paper has been passed around to all the guests, the maid of honor unfolds the paper and reads the story. This can be quite humorous.
I've Never
Everyone starts out with a set amount of pennies.
One person begins by saying "I've Never…" and then adds something they've never done, - I've never watched the movie
Titanic. Everyone who HAS watched the movie Titanic must throw one of their coins into a bowl.
Everyone must be honest. The last one with a coin wins.
